We are proud to announce Droidzee V2.2! Among small fixes, we have included many big improvements.  Sick of playing in landscape mode?  New in V2.2 is the ability to play in portrait and landscape mode!  If you don't like the new layout introduced in V2.0, we have added into settings the ability to switch back to the original layout.  And finally, the best new feature added to Droidzee is multiple game modes.  We introduced 7 new games into V2.2:

  • Inside Out - Start in the middle and work your way out.
  • Outside In - Start on the outside and work your way in.
  • Top Down - Start at the top and work your way down.
  • Bottoms Up - Start at the bottom and work your way up.
  • Half & Half - Fill one half before filling out the other half.

Shut The Box 2

We have a new application on the Android Market, Shut the Box 2.  It is a sequel to the original Shut the Box with more game modes, improved graphics, and support for Honeycomb tablets (3.0+).

Shut The Box 2 is an improved version of our popular Shut The Box game. There are many improvements to the new version including 5 game modes, richer graphics and layout, better high score saving, and support for Honeycomb tablets.
Game Modes:
Missionary - Get the highest score by shutting all 9 boxes. Each box shut is worth a point.
Full House - Same as missionary but with 12 boxes instead of 9.
Golf 9/12 - Try to score a zero by shutting all the boxes. Open boxes' value is added to the player's score at the end of the game.
Digital - Score is determined by reading the open boxes from left to right. For example, ending the game with 1, 5, and 7 open, a player's score would be 157.

* Save up to 10 high scores for each game mode
* Honeycomb (3.0+) support
* 5 game modes
* 5 backgrounds to customize your game
* Support apps2sd (2.2+)

Mission Defense

As the end of the semester approaches, we will have an increasing amount of time to put into our upcoming game Mission Defense.  We have most of the graphics done and are working on getting campaign mode done and getting the bugs out of the game mechanics.  We hope to release the game before we leave for Google I/O in May.  We have over 20 achievements for you to conquer, over 25 different levels to play, and plenty of enemies and bosses to battle against.

Keep checking our blog for future updates.  We will try to let you know as we get closer to a final product on when we will be releasing Mission Defense.  In the meantime, check out Droidzee and Shut the Box if you're looking for some addicting dice games.  Updates for those will come after we release Mission Defense.

Quarter Stats

Its the end of the first quarter of 2011 and the start of the next.  Although we haven't released any new apps this quarter we had a good amount of downloads and some good ratings from our users.  We ended the quarter with about 19,300 total downloads, a change of 12,000 since last quarter.  Droidzee ended the quarter strong with close to 14,000 downloads and a change of over 10,000 downloads this quarter.  It has been moving up in the Top Free Casual Games on the Android Market and we hope to have it within the Top 100 by the end of Q2.

We have pulled Tic-Tac-Toe and Hangman from the Android Market after seeing little change this quarter.  Mission Defense is coming along and we hope to have a finalized product in the next couple weeks.  We will keep you updated on its status and when it's getting close to launch.

Thanks to everyone for the support!
